Thrive Alive Foundation was first an idea conceived one late November evening in 2009 in response to a strong and growing demand nationwide for easier access to cancer treatments not covered by the government. This idea was nurtured into a not-for-profit society early the following new year and then grew into a dynamic Canadian charitable organization by the end of 2010. We have so much to celebrate!
Our purpose is simple, powerful and absolutely necessary. We are here to help people living in Canada in need have access to life-enhancing, life-saving cancer treatments that are not normally covered by government and health care plans. We are here to help educate and create awareness for the innovative, healthy and cost-effective treatments that are helping people every day. We are here to be a beacon for cancer patients everywhere trying to raise awareness for their individual causes and treatments.
Illness is incredibly expensive, for the government and for every single person in our country, oftentimes resulting in bankruptcy and poverty. Thrive Alive Foundation aims to alleviate the individual financial burden of cancer care, provide doors and windows through these barriers that prevent many from accessing treatments; hope, for those amongst us who are in need.
