What is a third-party event?
A third-party event is an initiative or campaign planned and hosted by YOU! (i.e. another group or person outside of Thrive Alive Foundation). The benefits of hosting your own event are endless, so just to name a few:
- You get to let your ultra creative and philanthropic spirit shine by creating an event/campaign/initiative that lights your passion on fire
- Thrive Alive Foundation benefits! Every dollar donated from a third-party event is a dollar we didn’t have – & thus allowing us to help people in need.
- You get to support your favorite cause by fundraising and planning/producing the event – and helping us save drastically on our resources!
- Thrive Alive Foundation benefits by increased awareness and engagement in what we do!
- You bring together friends, family, loved ones, networks etc for a great time, inspired philanthropy and lasting memories!
(Also, everyone can support by hosting their own event, even those affiliated with Thrive Alive Foundation, this just means that the planning, production and costs are not the responsibility of the Foundation. Even our founders host parties such as house-warming/birthdays and request donations in lieu of flowers/gifts/wine…. fun!)
Event ideas
Event ideas can range from grassroots fundraising with friends and family, to large affairs involving hundreds of people. Thrive Alive Foundation treats every initiative as a special expression of your deepest passion and belief in our work.
We look forward to hearing what you have in mind~ and also are here to brainstorm captivating and compelling initiatives!
Where does the money go?
All funds raised go directly to help Thrive Alive Foundation grow and help people in need have access to cancer resources and treatments (not funded by the government) that they are otherwise unable to afford.
We are 100% volunteer driven.
Charitable tax receipts for donors at your event
All donations of $10 or more to Thrive Alive Foundation are eligible for a charitable tax receipt. Thrive Alive Foundation is responsible for issuing a charitable tax receipt to donors who provide the required information. Prior to your event we will provide you with the relevant forms.
Support & resources from Thrive Alive Foundation
Thrive Alive Foundation team members are information resources for your initiative; generally, as we are a volunteer-driven organization, we are unable to manage or co-ordinate the logistics of an event. We are available to brainstorm, provide you with appropriate materials, guide and assist you in your fundraising ask, and are responsible for charitable tax receipting. When possible we will gladly try our hardest to provide representation at your event – and even a speaker or two!
